Therapy Services

The effects of sexual assault and sexual abuse can be long-lasting.

Victims often experience depression, anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)  as a result. Counseling can help survivors manage their emotions and begin the healing process.

Call PAAR at 412-431-5665 OR 1-866-END-RAPE to learn about therapy services.

PAAR’s therapists are professionally trained in all aspects of treatment of trauma and sexual abuse. Clinical services are held in the strictest of confidence and follow ethical and professional standards of practice.

Therapy services we offer:

  • Individual counseling for adults
  • Individual counseling for children and families
  • Wellness series for adults
  • Group counseling for adults
  • For children’s counseling information, click here.

PAAR’s therapists are professionally trained in a variety of trauma-informed evidence-based treatment modalities. We believe in person-centered healing and understand that every survivor is on their own unique path towards self-actualization. Psychological trauma impacts the survivor mentally, physically and emotionally. Therefore, we utilize treatment modalities that provide healing for the person as a whole.

PAAR therapists are trained in crisis intervention, trauma-informed supportive counseling,  cognitive behavioral treatment modalities, mind-body modalities, creative art modalities, and Eye- Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

PAAR offers crisis intervention, individual therapy, a variety of group therapies, and wellness workshops.
