THE STEEL CITY BECOMES THE TEAL CITY IN APRIL
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). Now, more than ever, you have neighbors who need your help and support. Please join PAAR in transforming the Steel City into the Teal City.
By turning Pittsburgh teal, the signature color for sexual assault awareness, we show survivors in our community that we believe and support them while continuing to educate our neighbors on how to prevent sexual violence.
Pittsburgh Shows Its True Colors
With a history rooted deep in tradition, a love of all things “black and gold” and a region filled with friendly faces and neighborly charm, you’d be hard-pressed to find a Pittsburgher who isn’t willing to lend a helping hand to their fellow neighbor.
Unfortunately, for many survivors, the COVID-19 pandemic has limed access to services, medical care and community support. Even though we can’t be together face-to-face right now, the need for advocacy is stronger than ever.
How You Can Play a Role
Connect to Protect Victims of Sexual Violence
Now is the time for us to gather in new and creative ways, to celebrate our strengths, and continue to stand in solidarity with and support survivors of sexual violence. We hope you’ll join our efforts during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) through one of our virtual events, by volunteering your time, or by simply donating to the cause.
