Being there every step of the way starts with you.

Join our team of dedicated volunteers in providing crisis support to survivors and their families via the Helpline. Volunteer opportunities are remote and flexible. Shifts are available 24 hours a day.

PAAR’s volunteers:

Are a team of diverse and dedicated volunteers
Provide crucial crisis services to survivors and their families
Receive training and certification as a Sexual Assault Counselor
Gain experience that can guide them in their career or professional pursuits

All Volunteers must complete: Sexual Assault Counselor (SAC) Training for all Volunteer Opportunities.

Independently complete the Online Remote Training (25 hours)
Attend a virtual agency orientation
Attend four half-days of live, virtual training with PAAR

We know how important it is for volunteers to address and process their own personal connection to the issue of sexual violence – and ask potential volunteers who have received services with PAAR to wait at least two years before applying.
