PAAR Community Provider Virtual Workshop:

What You Need to Know to Become a Therapist that Accepts VCAP

Friday, June 12, 2026, 12 – 1 PM

Some individuals that have experienced sexual trauma have a difficult time accessing quality therapeutic service due to lack of insurance, inability to pay co-payments or sliding scale fees, or experienced providers not being credentialed under their insurance.

Filing Sexual Assault Counseling Claims that are funded by PCCD’s Victim’s Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP) may be an alternative for these individuals; however, the community needs providers that accept VCAP.

At this virtual workshop hosted by PAAR staff, you will:

  • Receive an overview of what the program provides and who it provides it to.
  • Learn the simple process of becoming a provider that accepts VCAP funds.
  • Acquire answers to some frequently asked questions.
