Beautifully Broken: Sexual Violence Prevention Conference

April 8, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free
  • « Wellness Series: Zen Painting with a Twist
  • Increased Awareness of Sexual Assault: The Post-#MeToo Movement »
April being the Month of the Young Child and Sexual Abuse Awareness Month, the goal is to educate parents, victims, and associates on how to prevent, support, and identify the signs of sexual assault.
Come join us April 8th from 10a-3p EST. We will be gathering different resources throughout the Pittsburgh area to train the community on childhood sexual abuse. There will be presentations from therapist, victims and resource agencies giving information on what to look for, how to prevent and how to advocate and support a child who has experienced sexual abuse.
Don’t miss this important training as
Pittsburgh Action Against Rape trains the community on child exploitation and how to parent when you or your child has gone through abuse
Center For Victims will be training the community on Self-care and how to take care of the trauma that comes with sexual abuse
Amy Nordhues from Oklahoma author of the award winning book Prayed Upon will train the community on how to address therapist abuse when the healer becomes the enemy.
Marisa Floro a local therapist will follow up with what to look for in healthy Therapeutic care
Most importantly there will be testimonials from survivors who have gone through and can testify that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Come get healing, direction and guidance!
