A quote by Maya Angelou reads “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This is the work. Making sure every individual feel seen, heard, and most importantly BELIEVED.

As we embark on our next chapter as an agency, it will focus on a transformative approach to service our clients and community in new and impactful ways.

We will focus our efforts on creating a more diverse and inclusive agency, expanding our reach in the community and developing programming that is responsive to and reflective of the needs of those we aim to serve.

The need for PAAR’s programs and services is at an all-time high. We have seen a rise in both domestic and sexual violence cases, and like most rape crisis and domestic violence agencies, we have doubled-down and deepened our work with clients and the community-at-large.

PAAR is proud of the work we have done and as we look to the next 50 years, we will be right here, alongside so many amazing community partners and stakeholders to declare “NOT ON OUR WATCH” will we tolerate or reward inappropriate sexual behavior by remaining silent.

This is such an important year for PAAR, and we invite you to be a part of the many changes, conversations and celebrations slated to highlight the importance of our work, the impact we have on survivors, and the new outreach and engagement opportunities that seeks to expand our work and our reach.
