Meditation: Being Still & Present

One of the most precious gifts we can give ourselves is that of becoming still and being present. For centuries, people from cultures throughout the world have discovered and developed this ability through meditation. This two-session class will introduce us to the basic components of meditation. We will also become familiar with various types and styles of meditation, enabling us to find an approach that best suits our needs and preferences.

Drumming Circle: Finding our Strong Rhythms

For hundreds, perhaps thousands of years, people around the world have used the drum to heal and increase consciousness and awareness. Come and experience your own healing power through the rhythm of drumming.

This class is for those new to journaling and those who want to put new life into an old tool. We will explore how to make journaling safe and comfortable, how to begin and how to keep it going. We will share ideas and experiences as well as create a safe space in which we can write together. Through varied techniques, we'll explore how to make journaling fulfilling and how to keep it fresh so that it continues to help us on our healing journey.

Paper and pens will be provided, but please bring a journal, notebook and favorite writing utensils if you like.

Meets Tuesdays from 6-8 PM beginning on October 11 through November 1. Cost is $10 due by October 7.
