Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) is working with WVIA in Scranton/Wilkes Barre to develop a short film (20 mins.) in an effort to secure funding for a one hour documentary for national public television broadcast.

The documentary will chronicle the history of the anti-sexual violence movement across Pennsylvania and its impact on the national front; tell the story of rape and its impact on survivors; and inspire others to get involved.

This film will be produced by Emmy winner Kathleen Kern and the staff at WVIA. Kern's work has been featured on A&E's Investigative Reports and Discovery's Unsolved History. She has won and/or has been nominated for numerous Emmy awards for an impressive body of work that includes: Wage Slaves: Not Getting by in America and Homeless in America.

These profiles can be anonymous if preferred by the survivor. Should you know someone with a compelling story, contact Kern directly at: 570-826-6144 (WVIA), 213-841-0801 (cell/L.A. number) or 570-342-4849 (home). Any questions on this project, call Jan Baily (PCAR communications director) at 800-692-7445.
