FEDERAL BUDGET FOR 2006-07 SEEKS TO CUT VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT (VOCA ) - ACT NOW

VOCA was created in 1984 to be a non-taxpayer funded source of support for programs to compensate and assist victims of crime. The proposed federal budget for 2006-07 will zero out the fund. Victims' services agencies will lose $1.26 billion. To help protect VOCA, click here.

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT (VAWA) INTRODUCED IN THE SENATE; VAWA NEEDS YOUR HELP - ACT NOW

Senators Biden (DE), Hatch (UT) and Specter (PA) have introduced VAWA in the Senate for reauthorization. It will expire in September unless Congress acts. The bill is critical in preventing violence and in helping victims of sexual assault, domestic abuse and stalking. Click here to help.
