PAAR is located at 81 South 19th Street in the Southside district of Pittsburgh, PA at the corner of 19th Street and East Carson Street. Street parking and public parking lots are available along E. Carson St., 19th Street and other area streets.
FROM THE EAST:
- Follow the Parkway East (376) inbound towards downtown
- Take the Boulevard of the Allies exit (also marked 579)
- From the Boulevard of the Allies, make the first right onto Jumonville
- At the first light, turn right onto Forbes Ave.
- Travel several blocks. At the first light, bear right to a ramp up onto the Birmingham Bridge (do not take the sharp right down to Second Ave.)
- Cross the bridge, and at the end, turn right onto East Carson Street
- Travel 4 blocks, then turn right onto 19 th Street
- PAAR is the second building on the right (large 3-story red brick building with a wheelchair ramp)
FROM THE NORTH:
- Take 279 South towards Pittsburgh to Exit 8 (Monroeville-376 East)
- Follow the exit signs until you see signs for Smithfield St.
- Get in the far right-hand lane and turn right at the light and cross Smithfield St. Bridge
- At the end of the bridge, turn left onto East Carson Street
- Travel 19 blocks, turn left onto 19 th Street
- PAAR is the second building on the right (large 3-story red brick building with a wheelchair ramp)
FROM THE SOUTH HILLS (Parkway West):
- Take the Parkway (279) towards downtown (through the Fort Pitt Tunnels)
- Take the first exit, follow signs for 376 towards Monroeville
- On 376, take the Grant Street exit
- Turn left at the light
- Go one block then turn left onto Smithfield Street at the light
- Cross the bridge, and at the end, turn left onto East Carson Street
- Travel 19 blocks, then turn left onto 19 th Street

FROM THE SOUTH HILLS (Rt. 19-West Liberty Ave.):
- Take West Liberty Avenue north towards Pittsburgh
- Get into right lane and go through the Liberty Tunnel
- After tunnel, make immediate right onto PJ McArdle Roadway (turn is right before the red light)
- Turn left onto Arlington Ave
- Turn right onto East Carson Street
- Travel 19 blocks, then turn left onto 19 th Street
