It’s time to register for PAAR’s annual Celebration of Survivors. This year we have both a VIP event AND a Dance Party!!!
We all know that winters in Pittsburgh can bring gusting winds, snow and freezing temperatures, and when that happens we all struggle to stay warm.
Now imagine that you are a victim of sexual assault who sought medical care at one of our hospital emergency rooms, and your clothing has been collected and kept as evidence as part of the criminal investigation.
What will you wear home given getting home may involve public transportation. The gown or set of scrubs from the hospital are really not viable options at any time, but especially so during our winter months.PAAR works to ensure that every victim has warm clothing to return home in, but we need your help. Our winter wish is to raise $1500 to provide 150 victims with replacement clothing they can wear home after seeking help in local emergency rooms for sexual assault. Your $10 donation will provide a victim with a pair of sweat pants and a sweat shirt.
Your donation means that one less victim goes home cold.
