What would it mean to you to help someone through a crisis?

You can assist someone in crisis by offering a compassionate ear and a reassuring voice—all from the comfort of your home, or from any location using your mobile phone.

PAAR’s Volunteers are the foundation of our agency.  Volunteers play an integral role in this community through their work on our 24-hour crisis hotline.

PAAR’s volunteer training program will enable you to:
-Master active listening skills
-Calm someone in crisis
-Understand the dynamics of rape  and sexual violence.

PAAR’s Volunteers make a difference in the lives of victims of sexual violence. Take the challenge!

Requirements to work on our 24-hour hotline:

-PAAR Volunteers must complete a 40 hour sexual assault counseling training.  The majority of this training can now be done independently on-line.

-PAAR hotline workers must obtain Act 33/34 clearances.  Please see links below to apply for clearances.
