By giving just 6 hours a month or 72 hours per year, you can assist someone in crisis by offering a compassionate ear and a reassuring voice—all from the comfort of your home.

PAAR’s volunteer training program will enable you to:
- Master active listening skills
- Calm someone in crisis
- Understanding the dynamics of rape
Student volunteers may be eligible for school credits if you are a psychology, social work, or a counseling major. Check with your college or university! You will be able to put "sexual assault counselor" on your resume.

Are you unable to commit to the 40-hour training sessions necessary for all volunteers working with victims? Well, you can still help and be an integral part of PAAR’s mission. Special events, public speaking, and clerical assistance are all areas that are open for volunteers.
