Know the Facts about Dating

Always remember the following:
  • Match words and actions. Avoid mixed messages.
  • Be truthful with your date about what you want and don't want out of a relationship. Tell them!
  • It's okay to walk away from a dangerous or uncomfortable situation. Trust your instincts!
  • Go out in groups.  Get to know the person while you’re with your friends.
  • Meet in a public place, like a restaurant, coffee shop, mall, etc.
  • Always take money.  Carry enough cash to make calls for help or a ride.
  • If you’re drinking or eating, don’t leave your food or drink unattended.
  • Be in control and take care of yourself.  Don’t worry about being “nice”.
